Norman F. Workman, 77, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born August 27, 1947, in Barnesville, Ohio, a son of the late Herman and Mary Truax Workman.
Norman was a retired electrical construction coordinator with American Electric Power with 33 years of service. A U.S. Army Veteran having served in Germany from 1966-1969. He was a member of American Legion Post 87 of Woodsfield and the Woodsfield Kiwanis Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Workman.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Baker Workman whom he married May 3, 1975, two sons, Donovan Workman and his fianceé Lisa Winland and Kevin (Tara) Workman, grandsons, Gavin Workman, Braydon (Sarah) Stapleton and Bryce (Haley) Coyan. Granddaughters Gracie Workman and Allie Winland. Brother Gary Workman, sister Carol (Terry) Hunter, brothers-in-law: Ron (Marketia) Baker, Terry (Debbie) Bowen, Don (Emily) Baker and sister-in-law Donna Hughes. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear and longtime friends.
Friends will be received from 6 – 9 p.m. Thursday, November 21 and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio, with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Full military services will also be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery, Calais, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 87 and/or the Woodsfield Kiwanis Club.
