Carl Edward Antill, 89, of Woodsfield, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born in New Concord on March 10, 1931, a son of the late Clarence and Edna Davis Antill.

He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, and formerly worked for Dave Rubel installing T.V. cable many years ago. He was a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield, and served in the Ohio National Guard.

He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Paul and Larry Antill; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Antill.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Grosklos Antill, whom he married in July 1955; three daughters, Carla (Brian) Rose, of Woodsfield, Barb Backus of Lewisville, and Tammy Matz of Medina; two sons, Tom (Kathy) Antill, of Caldwell, and Jody Antill of Newark; one sister, Bonnie Hill, of Marietta; one brother, Wilbert (Joyce) Antill, of Warner; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Private visitation for family only will be held at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield. Graveside services were held Friday, May 8, 2020, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, with Scott McFarland officiating.
