Carol L. Prout, 75, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019, at the Ohio State University Ross Heart Center, Columbus.

She was born in Bellaire December 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Mc-Clintock Bonfini.

She was a retired receptionist for Dr. Christen in Woodsfield and was a member of the Grace Christian Church, Woodsfield.

Carol enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling, crafting, and spending time with friends and most especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Prout, and a brother, Thomas Bonfini.

Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer (Doug) Kriechbaum of Barnesville; one son, Jim (Kelly) Murray of Beallsville; two step-daughters, Tonya (Eric) Bates of Jerusalem, and Melissa Dolan of Spring Hill, Florida; one step-son, John Prout of Brooksville, Florida; one sister, Fran D’Aquila of Shadyside; one brother, Joe (Leslie) Bonfini of Woodsfield; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, with Pastor Herb Alexander officiating. Burial followed in the Armstrong Mills Cemetery, Armstrong Mills.
