Charles Green, 83, of Akron, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Akron General Hospital.
He was born in Jerusalem, on Sept. 22, 1937, the son of the late Leonard and Ada Green.
A farmer by heart, he retired from Horning Builders Supply in Kent, where he worked for more than 30 years as a member of Teamsters Local 348. He loved trucks, farm tractors and working outdoors. After retirement, he continued to work in the landscaping, tree removal and handyman professions for many years.
In addition to his parents, brother, Dale, and grandson, Dorian, he is preceded in death by Rebecca Green (Wise), his wife of 58 years, who passed away Aug. 2, 2011.
He is survived by his three children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren: daughter and partner, Merrie Green and Michelle White, of Columbus, and grandchildren Sara, Joshua and Ayanna; son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Melissa Green, of King George, Virginia, and grandchildren, Matthew and Arianne; and daughter and partner, Ashley Green and Zach Drake, of Canton, and grandchildren, Trey, Carter, Aden and Kingston.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Joshua Green officiating. Burial to follow at Jerusalem Cemetery in Jerusalem.
