Cline, 78, Sistersville, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Barberton, on November 4, 1940; he was a son of the late Forrest and Garnet Hawkins Cline. He was a graduate of Woods-field High School and a U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran where he was an MP. He retired after more than 30 years from GE Plastics in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Dave was a member of the VFW in Sistersville, West Virginia, American Legion in Marietta, for more than 30 years, B.P.O.E #333 in Sistersville, West Virginia and the Moose Lodge #931 in New Martins-ville, West Virginia. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and was a supporter of Frontier youth programs where he coached softball, volunteered, and ran the chains for football games. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, bingo and playing cards.

Dave is survived by his wife of 13 years Elsie Rustemeyer Cline; two daughters, Christal Cline and Amy (Don) Williams; three step-children, Gregory and Clay Rustemeyer, and Patricia Gist; two grandsons, Wyatt and Ethan Williams; 11 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl (Gary) Truax; one brother, Paul Cline; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Patricia Wilson Cline; one sister, Shelba Jean Watson; one stepson, David Rustemeyer; and one stepdaughter, Pam Maki.

 Funeral service was held Monday, May 13, 2019, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys with Pastor Rick Carpenter. Burial followed in Matamoras Cemetery, New Matamoras, with Military Rites at the grave. Friends were received Sunday, May 12, 2019, and Monday, May 13, 2019, at the funeral home.
