Emily Ann Hartshorn, 86, of Woodsfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, surrounded with her family by her side at the Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield.

She was born at Low Gap, on Aug. 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Everett and Waife Cline Smith.

Emily was a former real estate broker with Country Network and was a member of the Woodsfield Christian Church.

She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, camping and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deb Schumacher; an infant son, Terry Hartshorn; three brothers, Howard, Kenneth and Gene Smith. One sister, Ethel Smith; a grandson, Daniel Ludwig; a son-in-law, Glenn Ludwig.

Surviving is her husband, Donald Hartshorn whom she married on Jan. 21, 1956. Two daughters Cheryl Ludwig, of Woodsfield and Julie Winland, of Coshocton, a son-in-law Perry Schumacher, of Woodsfield. Seven Grandchildren, Jason Ludwig, Brad (Dr. Alicia) Ludwig, Allison

(Andrew) Jaszcak, Aaron (Jerrica) Winland, Andrew (Lynsey) Schumacher, Leah (Cass) Clift, Kelly Winland and her companion Rob Lumbatis. Seven great-grandchildren, Lacy Ludwig, Lawson Ludwig, Ivory Ludwig, Rylar Clift, Makenna Clift, Ariana Winland and Malcom Schumacher and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Sunday Nov. 21, 2021, with Herb Alexander, Incare of Ohio Hospice. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
