Genevieve M. Williams, 85, of Holmes-ville, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg after a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 19, 1933 in Sardis to the late M. Albert and Hazel (Leggett) Stewart and was a graduate of Sterling High School. She married Kenneth Williams on Sept. 24, 1955, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1987. Genevieve had made her home in Holmesville since 1969 and enjoyed gardening, cooking and camping. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan, but her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are her children, Harry (Deb) Williams of Creston, Kathy (Art) Brown of Holmesville, and Mary (Don) Tillapaw of Brewster; six grandchildren, Shelly Fuqua, Craig Williams, Ken Brown, Mike Brown, Kathy Taylor and Nicole Tillapaw; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leona Weirick of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Ruth Rowe; and brothers, Dale and James Stewart.

Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, with Rev. Matt Rowe officiating. Burial was in Prairie Township Cemetery. Friends were received 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
