Larie J. Conner, 75, of 36873 Greenbrier Road, Graysville, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at his home following injuries received in a tractor accident. He was born at Livingston, Tennessee on September 3, 1938, a son of the late Johnnie and Bithia Phillips Conner. He was a farmer and a retired steelworker for the Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio. He attended the Graysville Church of Christ, Graysville. Larie was an avid outdoorsman, Little League coach, coon hunter, and was a founding member of the Antioch ESquad, Antioch, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Gardner Conner whom he married on October 12, 1985. One son, Shawn (Crissy) Conner of Grove City, Ohio. One daughter, Candie (Dana) Weber of Lewisville, Ohio. Five step-sons: James (Donna) Russell of North Canton, Ohio, Troy (Judy) Russell of Lewisville, Ohio, Tim (Anna) Winland of Woodsfield, Ohio, Robert (Carolyn) Winland of Canal Fulton, Ohio, Christopher (Cassie) Jackson of Marietta, Ohio. Four sisters: Opal Richardson, Charlotte Moore, Geneva Staggs, and Winnie Ann Dailey. Three brothers: Cecil, Robert, and Steve Conner. Six grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren. His best friend, Roger "Pete" English of Graysville, Ohio. Friends were received at the Watters Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 22, 2014, where funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Conner Family Cemetery in Monroe, Tennessee. Arrangements by Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
