~ LARRY J. “BUTCH” STEWART ~
Larry J. “Butch” Stewart 70, of Shadyside,
passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at his home supported by his family.
Butch was born Nov. 2, 1948, in McDonald, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Joseph R. and Bessie O. Workman Stewart.
He worked at Nacco #7 Mine and retired from A.E.P. Windsor Power. He attended the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Shadyside.
He was a 1967 graduate of Woodsfield High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Butch was an avid fisherman and golfer, and truly loved his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Patty L. Brown Stewart; two sons, Matt (Dee) Hans and Chris (Denise) Stewart, both of Shadyside; his grandchildren, Sommer, Hans and Kirk Stewart.
Also, surviving are four brothers, Gary Stewart, Terry (Lynn) Stewart and Dennis Stewart, all of Woods-field, and Joe Stewart, of Abilene, Texas; and a sister, Thelma Stewart, of Woodsfield.
In honoring Butch’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
