Larry W. Briggs, 76, of Graysville, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at his home.

He was born in Woodsfield, on Aug. 7, 1944, a son of the late Roger and Grace Morris Briggs.

Larry served in the United State Military for 22 years, 10 months and two days having served four stints in the Army and two in the Navy. He also retired from Detroit Diesel after 15 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gail Ann Briggs on Dec. 4, 2019; and two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela (Michael) Freeman, of Barnesville, Tawnya (Casey) Stephens, of Salesville; stepdaughter, Beth Ann (Kevin) Rose, of Graysville; brother, Ronnie Briggs, of Barnesville; grandchildren, Cole (Brianna) Briggs, Maddison Stephens, Dillon Freeman and Casey Stephens; step-grandson, Jared (Jacklynn) Rose; great-grandchildren, Lawson, Emilia and Andrew; and his dog, Harley.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, with Pastor Anthony McSwords officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartshorn Ridge Cemetery near Graysville.
