Lloyd J. Thomas, 88, of Leipsic, formerly of Rinard Mills, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at Vancrest of Holgate.

He was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Hamler to the late George Sylvester and Blanche Arvella (Searfoss) Thomas.

On July 3, 1952, he married Ruby Wireman who died Jan. 25, 2008.

Surviving are four children, Polly Fackler, of Cloverdale, Lloyd James Thomas, of Leipsic, Flossie Leu, of Holgate, and Rick (Belinda) Thomas, of Mc-Comb; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Fay Thomas and Vickie Just; two grandsons, Kenneth Fackler, Jr. and Angel Michael Thomas; three brothers; and nine sisters.

Lloyd retired from Campbell Soups in 1988.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, with Ben Smith officiating. Burial followed in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, and prior to the service on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, all at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
