Mitchell D. Clift, 54, of Woodsfield, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Monroe County Care Center after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. He was born in Marietta May 19, 1964, a son of Sharon Bigley Clift Robinson, of Woods-field, and the late Clyde (Butch) Clift.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodsfield and the Masonic Lodge #300 in Stafford. Mitchell worked in the timber business and was an oil well tender. He loved watching Cleveland Indians baseball games, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father Clyde (Butch) Clift, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tommy Joe Robinson.

He is survived by his mother Sharon Robinson, of Woodsfield; a brother, Michael Clift of Cardington; step-brother, Jeff (Sheri) Robinson, of Lewisville; step-sister, Denise (Jerome) Pope of Gahanna; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Friends were received from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield, Ohio, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Burial followed at the Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, Ohio. Masonic Lodge service was held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
