Myrna Lee Minder, 85 of Woodsfield, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, surrounded by her family at Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield.

She was born in Stafford, April 19, 1936, a daughter of the late John and Dessie Brown Okey.

After graduating from Woodsfield High School in 1953, she met Robert (Bob) Minder and was married in 1955. While raising her family she worked at many local businesses. Her most fulfilling job involved assisting senior citizens in finding meaningful employment. Myrna’s family was her greatest joy in life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was predeceased by her former husband and partner in life, Robert D. Minder, her sister and brother-in-law, Sally and David Patti, and her brother, David Okey.

She will be greatly missed by four children, Rhonda Morton, Rodney (Dawn) Minder, Regina (Art) Martin and Lisa (Danny) Habig. Additionally, she had seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Myrna is survived by her sisters Leona Hoskinson and Carol (Richard) Kuhn; brothers, Gerald (Arlene) Okey and Larry (Carolyn) Okey.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Stellar Care Center and Stonerise Hospice for their compassionate care.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, 136 N. Main St., Woodsfield. Due to Covid restrictions, the service will be open to family and dear friends.
