Ronald Lee Wiggins, 73, of Northport, AL, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, from complications following a stroke at DCH Regional Medical Center. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 13, 2017 with Reverend Jimmy Garner officiating.

He was born in New Martinsville, WV, February 8, 1944, the only son of the late Raymond Eugene and Virginia Helen (Ickes) Wiggins. All former residents of Clarington, Ohio.

Ron graduated from River High School, class of 1962. He was a former employee of Conalco. He worked at Quarto #7 mine from 1975 until 1984. He left Clarington in 1984 and lived in Cottondale, AL working for Jim Walters mines. He moved to Kingsport, TN, working as an underground service engineer for American Longwall. Later moved to Tuscaloosa, AL, as an underground engineer for American Longwall/Joy Global, retiring in 2007.

He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.

Ron was a member of Clarington Masonic Lodge #597 serving as Worshipful Master in 1978. He was also a member of Claringon OES #533, serving as Worthy Patron in 1980 and 1981. He was a 32nd degree Mason and the Osiris Shrine in Wheeling, WV.

He was married to Pamela Liniger in 1966 of Clarington, Ohio. The marriage ended in divorce in 1985.

Ron is survived by his former wife, Pamela Liniger Wiggins Burlingame, of New Martinsville, WV; a son John Arthur (Lisa Marie) of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister Linda Kay Wiggins (Paul) Nelson of Clearwater, Florida; and a very special nephew Randy (Kara) Liniger of Mesa, Arizona. Several nieces and nephews.
