Ruth J. Weber, 91, of Marietta, (formerly of Lewisville) passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at Hannah’s House, Marietta.

She was born near Lebanon, on March 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Emma L. Kilzer Ridgway.

She attended grade school at Harriettsville, and graduated in 1943 from Elk Rural High School in Noble County. She was a former billing clerk for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company during World Ware II. She was a member of the former Buchanan Presbyterian Church and currently a member of the Woodsfield Presbyterian Church, Woodsfield; a 50-year member and former secretary of the former Huffman Grange and lifetime member of the Monroe County Historical Society. Ruth was a full-time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, planting flowers, church history research and most especially her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis J. Weber, on December 3, 2006; a son, Delvin Edward Weber; and a sister, Corrine E. Ridgway.

Surviving are one daughter, Brenda (Bill) Rice, of Marietta; one son, Kevin Weber of Marietta; four grandchildren, Stacy Lee, Jessica Anderson, Kimberly Weber and Zachary Mick; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends were received until the time of service Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 S.R. 78 West, Woodsfield, with Rev. Susan Lehosky officiating. Burial followed in the Buchanan Cemetery near Lewisville.
