Violet E. Bishop, 91, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020, at her daughter’s home.

She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on April 8, 1928, a daughter of the late John Avery Gray and Margaret Evelyn Britton Gray.

She was a former employee of B.F. Goodrich, Marietta, and was owner of the former Hi Lo Wine Cellar in Marietta. She enjoyed eating pie and going out to eat.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn D. Bishop, on July 14, 2001; three brothers, Eugene, Golden and Harold Gray.

Surviving are two daughters, Geneva Forshey, of Lewisville, and Nancy Kaye (Haskell) Dornan, of Mesa, Arizona; one son, William L. Bellville and his companion, Judy, of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

As per Violet’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.
