Phyllis J. Monahan, of Woodsfield passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.

She was born at Bellaire on March 6, 1953, a daughter of the late Oscar and Jean Reah Stewart.

She was a former insurance agent for 44 years and was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield.

She enjoyed being on the river with the boat and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Sefert on Aug. 23, 2022; one brother, Jerry Stewart and one sister, Judy Stewart.

Surviving are her husband, Randy Monahan whom she married on Nov. 24, 1972; two sons, Benji (Valoree) Monahan, of Woodsfield, and Bradly Monahan, of the home; a son-in-law, Randall Sefert, of Woodsfield; two brothers, Harold (Wendy) Stewart, of Powhatan, and David Stewart, of Panama City, Florida; seven grandchildren, Logan (Christina), Lakelyn (Nate), Luke, Lorelei, Parker, Perspohne, Sophieona; and one great-granddaughter, Chevelle.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
