In Memory of her father, the late Homer Headley and her late Uncle Coy Hogue

Uncle Coy,

That night in Florida while Grandma Hogue, John and Rikki (age four) were sound asleep, you went into a part of my Dad’s life I had never heard because he never spoke of it.

All my brothers, sister and I knew growing up is that we were never to wake Dad up by touching him. We stood back and yelled, “Dad, it’s time to get up,” and we also saw all the deep scars in his arms, shoulders, back and stomach.
