Robert J. Prickett, 85 of Woodsfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at the Monroe County Care Center.
He was born June 12, 1934, in Baxter, West Virginia, a son of the late William and Flota Wright Prickett.
He was retired from Conalco having worked in the cast house. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War, and a member of the V.F.W.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Cline, and a brother, Bill Prickett.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Hall Prickett, of Woodsfield; son Dave (Susie) Prickett, of Woodsfield; daughters, Diane Prickett Cline, of Woodsfield, and Denise Prickett Potts, of Woodsfield; three brothers, Tommy, Marshall and Burl Prickett; seven sisters, Flota King, Donna Warner, Wanda Shumaker, Sandra Pryor, Shirley Stimpert, Betty Stimpert and Brenda Thompson; eight grandchildren, Amy Dye, Tracey Loy, Becky King, Daesha Hiles, Dana Lake, Chelsea Brown, Asia Atchison, and Torey Prickett; 18 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Friends were received until time of funeral service Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Paul Eddy officiating. Full Military Honors were held. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
