Roger Lee Starr, 73 of Cameron, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Akron, May 30, 1947, a son of the late Roy and Helen Norris Starr.

He retired from Bayer Chemical, was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and a member of the Laings Church of Christ. He restored and pulled antique tractors and loved spending time with his grandchildren, and spending winters in Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynnette Thomas in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna Ault Starr, of Cameron, two daughters, Marci (Tom) Sapp, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jennifer (Dwayne) Thompson, of Woodsfield; siblings, MaryAnn Tomlin, of Woodsfield, Nancy (Charles) Merrill, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Clyde (Nicole) Starr, of Reno; grandchildren, Michael Sapp, Mason (Emily) Sapp and Caitlin Sapp, and Bailey Thompson, Jenna Thompson, and Cooper Thompson.

Friends were received until time of funeral service Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, with Andrew Beasley and Sam Bartrug officiating.
