Russell S. Headley, 66, of Woodsfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield. 

He was born Oct. 26, 1956, Marietta, a son of the late Homer and Shirley Headley and Ruth Hogue Baker.

He was a U.S. Army Reservist and a 1976 graduate of Woodsfield High School. Russell loved spending time with family, playing cards and spending time at the family meat shop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn “Chub” Headley; and his sisters, Sharon Huffman and Debbie Hedger.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron (Tasha) Headley, of Woodsfield, and Steven Headley, of Billings Montana, and daughter, Jaime (Levi) Swartz, of Findlay; sisters, Jeanie Carpenter, of Whipple, Shirley Thompson, of Marietta, and Kim Chaplin, of Woodsfield; brothers, James (Wendy) Headley and Marlin (Debbie) Headley, of Woodsfield; grandchildren, Isabella, Taylor and Dillon; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
