Ruth Elaine Moore Lindenmeyer 97, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Stellar Care Center Woodsfield, Ohio. She was born in Derwent, Ohio September 11, 1926 a daughter of the late Edward and Selma Broom Moore.
 She was a proud graduate of Buffalo High School class of 1944 and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching sports and parades and most of all telling people about her kids.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband’s James W. Nixon Sr., Tom LaFollette, and Steve Lindenmeyer, granddaughter Christina Leigh Nixon Sciandra, and brothers Jim Moore and Donald Lee Moore.
 She is survived by her 5 children; Bill Nixon of Wilson Lake, Brad (Shari) Nixon of Woodsfield, Venetia (Jim) Lane of Kent, Lance (Angie) LaFollette of Woodsfield, and Rod (Sally) LaFollette of Woodsfield, step-daughter Pam Lindenmeyer, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law Beverly Moore, and brother-in-law Bob (Eileen) LaFollette, and several nieces and nephews.
 Friends were received from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Bauer – Turner Funeral Home, 100 South Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 6, 2024 with Keith Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
