Blue Devils drop two at Caldwell

Beallsville couldn’t match Caldwell’s offensive output during its twin bill Saturday, April 15 at Caldwell.

The Blue Devils got one big burst, as Garrett Brown blasted a home run off Caldwell’s Kam Hesson in the second inning of Game 1.

However, Beallsville was limited to only four more hits in the game.

Trey Taylor, Austin Baker and Levi McFredrick each had a single in the game.

Meanwhile, Caldwell had 18 hits and 25 runs in four innings to take Game 1 25-1.

Brown started the game, striking out two in one-plus innings.

Kolton Rush, Wyatt Brown, Austin Goddard, Baker and Taylor combined to finish the game.

Hesson got the win for the Redskins, striking out eight in three innings.

For Caldwell, Clark Jennings had a double, three singles and five RBIs and Brennan Saling a double, three singles and four RBIs.
