River grabs three wins for the week

River grabbed a trio of wins last week to remain alive in the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference playoff chase.

On Tuesday, April 11, River took down Valley 15-5 at Sardis.

Izzi Swords got the win in relief, filling in for Kylie Cross in the circle.

Offensively, River only managed four hits in the game, but took advantaged of errors and walks.

Bailey Caldwell had two singles and two RBIs in the victory, while Candace Caldwell had a double and an RBI.

The next night, River took down Paden City 6-1 at Paden City.

Bailey Caldwell picked up the win, striking out six and walking three.

She also led her team offensively with two singles and an RBI. Emilie Heater added two singles and two RBIs.

On Thursday, April 13, River overcame a 6-2 deficit with seven runs in the fourth inning in route to a 14-8 victory at Barnesville.

Bailey Caldwell again picked up the win in the circle.

Offensively, Riley Lollathin had two home runs and four RBIs.
