Seminoles shutout ‘Skins for confidence-boosting win

In 2016, Monroe Central didn’t pick up its first win until Week 9, when it defeated Frontier 37-0.

The Seminoles had to go through eight long weeks of losses before the win, losses that took a toll on the team’s mindset.

This year, Monroe Central wouldn’t have to wait that long.
The Seminoles picked up their first win of the season Friday, Sept. 15 as they blanked hosting Caldwell 32-0 in Pioneer Valley Conference play at the Noble County Fairgrounds.
“(The win gives us) confidence,” Monroe Central senior quarterback Ryan Lafollette said. “It gives us a lot of confidence.”
