Sylvia J. Nelson, 80, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.V.
 She was born at Middleport, Ohio, on August 7, 1944, a daughter of the late William Rowley and Mary Elizabeth Underwood Rowley.
 Sylvia was a homemaker and a former caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Nelson and a son, Billy Leonard and a sister, Evelyn Fields.
 Surviving are two sons, Larry Nelson Jr. of Woodsfield, Shane Nelson of Woodsfield; one daughter, Tillie (John) Moore of Loris, S.C. and one granddaughter, Taylor Nelson
 There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
