Thomas M. Tisher, age 68 of Hannibal, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 13, 1954, in New Martinsville, West Virginia, son of the late Donald and Erma (Potts) Tisher.

Tom was a retired teacher with Switzerland of Ohio Schools and Magnolia High School. He was a lifelong and devoted member of the Hannibal United Methodist Church and was a member of the Moose Lodge #931 of New Martinsville. Tom coached girls’ basketball, with more than 300 wins, and coached baseball and football.

Survivors include a brother Timothy (Cathy) Tisher, of Hannibal; a nephew, Casey Tisher, of Hannibal; a niece Kelsie (Jacob) Schmidt, of Quinton, Virginia; and three great-nieces and nephews, Brayden, Zoey and Colton Schmidt.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, West Virginia with Dr. Vince Monceau officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
