Thomas Williams, Jr., 88 years young, of Jerusalem, boarded his final train Aug. 15, 2022, in the comfort of the home that he loved.
Tom was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Wayne Township, Belmont County, a son of the late Thomas and Eula Phillips Williams.
Tom was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed trains, woodworking, antiques, and spending time with his family. After his retirement from the former ORMET Corporation near Hannibal, Tom and his wife, Jean enjoyed traveling extensively in their RV, visiting various campsites with groups of friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Jean Logan Williams; three children, John Williams (Jennifer Thompson), of Stanton, Kentucky, Maryann (Thomas) Ollom, of Laings, and Mark Alan (Beth) Williams, of Marysville; eight grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Mark Alan, Mallorie, Mac, Mason, Allison, and John Thomas, II; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; also many friends.
Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at the Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville, with Bob Benson officiating.
Burial followed in Jerusalem Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post
