Trent Scott Baker of Hampton, Va., formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2024. Born in Bellaire, Ohio, he joined the United States Air Force in 2000 and was a resident of Hampton since 2002. After leaving the Air Force, Trent joined the Virginia Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
Trent was proud to serve his country. What made Trent the proudest was his wife Whitney, and his children, Taylor, Caleb, and Kyle. He enjoyed having a hands-on job and was known for being able to fix almost anything. Trent truly loved being outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing.
Trent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle Davis, Marjorie Hippli, Claude Baker and niece Chloe Lydick.
He is survived by his wife, Whitney A. Baker; children, Taylor-Ann Baker, Caleb Baker, and Kyle Baker; parents, Kenneth and Teresa Baker; sister, Audrey Lydick (Craig); paternal grandmother, Elsie Baker; and grandchildren, Kinzlee and Paislee Roeder, niece Kendall Lydick and nephew Landen Lydick. Also left to treasure Trent’s memory are his mother- and father-in-law, Tracie and Steve Heroux, his brother- and sister-in-law Chris and Alyson Heroux, and their son Henry.
Trent will be greatly missed, not only by his family but by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitation and celebration of life was held at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton. A celebration of life will be held in Woodsfield at a later date.
