VIOLET LEE MARLEY

 Violet Lee Marley, 86, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 10 , 2024, at her home.
 She was born at Bethesda, Ohio, on May 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Orrie and Vesta Truax Mann.
 She was a graduate of Bethesda High School, Bethesda, Ohio; a retired employee with over 35 years at Monroe County Care Center. After retirement she went back to work at Westwood Landing, Woodsfield.
 She was a member of Church of Christ.
 Violet enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, shopping, visiting her residents, co-workers, and friends. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone she knew. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Marley on June 30, 2023; three brothers, Richard, Robert and Alan Mann; two sisters, Esther Conway and Exma Vanfossen.
 Surviving are one daughter Cindy Marley of Barnesville, Ohio; three sons John (Marilyn) Marley of Malaga, Ohio, Kevin Marley of Woodsfield, Jeff ( Lisa) Marley of Lewisville, Ohio; one brother Dan Mann of Quaker City, Ohio; one sister Linda Christman of Barnesville; six grandchildren, Darien Decker, Kaleigh Marley, Alexa Marley, Mi­chael Marley, Mariah Marley and Morgan Marley; six great-grandchildren and one on the way in July.
 There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan, Ohio.
 Arrangements entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Rt. 78, Woodsfield.
